What's It Taste Like: It's your favourite classic brew. We're talking about a cup of tea that's not your everyday ordinary stuff. It's got that bold, full-bodied texture and oozes personality like a movie star. It's a blend of Assam and Ceylon teas that bring that hearty, malty goodness, mixed with a little Darjeeling magic that adds a hint of muscatel zing. It's like a tea party in your mouth! Oh, and guess what? This tea is so awesome that it snagged the Great Taste Award in 2018. Yep, it's basically a celebrity in the tea world!

When to Brew: Perfect for any time of the day, but ideal for first thing when you need a caffeine boost

🎵This Is How You Brew It🎵: 1 teaspoon per cup for 3-4 mins in 95-100°C water. I skip the milk and sugar because, let's be honest, this drink is already a flavour superstar all by itself. But hey, if you want to jazz it up with some creaminess or sweetness, I won't give you the side-eye. Go ahead, it's your taste adventure!

Rumour Has It 👀: Studies have spilled the tea on this one: it can help dial down your blood pressure, shrink the chances of big, bad heart events like heart attacks and strokes, and even heart disease

Ingredients: Blend of premium Assam, Ceylon and Darjeeling black tea

Origin: India, Sri Lanka

Caffeine Content: Approx 27-35mg per cup

Best flavour and most ethical tea!

I bought the paper tea bags that you fill yourself and 100g English breakfast loose leaf tea (as I cannot be bothered with a teapot, strainer etc).

I used 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea, per paper tea bag, and brewed for 4 minutes. I also did the same with a big brand with their readymade teabags.

Appearance, the loose leaf paper bag tea bag did have a much light appearance compared to the big brand

Although it was not a blind test for me, the winner was of course Verycraftea loose leaf tea.

I blind tested my wife, without even telling her I changed anything. She tasted each 3 times, taking in turns.

The winner, of course Verycraftea loose leaf tea.

The taste is strong regardless of the light appearance, the loose leaf tea itself looks amazing, rather than the crushed dust in the big brand readymade tea bags, and it was very refreshing and enjoyable.

In terms of costs, this is how I worked it out.

I made 76 teabags from 100g of loose leaf tea (English Breakfast Tea) (and it took me just half an hour to fill them).

So for just 1.5p extra per cup compared to per cup with the big brand readymade teabags, lets examine what I get (in no particular order):

Better quality loose leaf tea

As a consequence of the above point, better tasting flavours

Consciously sourced tea (which has been explained extremely well on the website)

Supporting a local woman and her business who has the most honest and humble website without the need to be flashy!

Beautiful flavour - at such a good price too!!

Absolutely lovely tea! Took us a few attempts at getting the strength just right but it’s absolutely worth the brewing time ☺️ Highly recommend for anyone wanting to give loose leaf teas a go!

Delicious!

I tried this tea when bought for me as a gift and it is nothing like having tea from a tea bag. The taste is so rich, it’s delicious! Will definitely be buying some for myself.
